MISSION STATEMENT The Mission of Saint Augustine Academy is to educate young women in a Catholic, caring family atmosphere. In a family atmosphere and the spirit of "In Omnibus Caritas" (In All Things Charity), each student is encouraged to recognize her unique gifts and talents and is challenged to use them for her personal growth as well as the service of others. The faculty and staff of Saint Augustine Academy strives to instill and strengthen Christian values in our young women. These values are evidenced by love of God, a respect for human life and dignity. a pursuit of truth, a commitment to personal integrity, and the development of individual responsibility. ADMISSIONS POLICY Saint Augustine Academy's acceptance of a student is determined by our ability to meet the learning needs of each student within our Catholic, caring, family atmosphere. An 8th grade student seeking admission to Saint Augustine Academy for the freshman year must: 1. Take the November Placement/ Scholarship Exam 2. Submit a completed application 3. Submit elementary school grades and standardized test scores. 4. Follow deadlines and procedures as determined by the Diocesan Admissions Timeline. A student seeking 10th or 11th grade admission to Saint Augustine Academy must: 1. Submit an up-to-date high school transcript including grades, standardized test scores, and Ohio proficiency scores. A student seeking to be admitted as a 10th grader must have obtained a minimum of 5 credits; a student seeking to be admitted as an 11th grader must have obtained a minimum of 10 credits. If a student has failed courses, they must be made up in Summer School. It is unusual for Saint Augustine Academy to accept a student seeking admission to 12th grade, and these cases are handled on an individual basis. 2. Submit a completed application form and personal letter indicating her reasons for choosing Saint Augustine Academy. 3. Meet for a personal interview with the Admissions Director. After a student has received a letter of acceptance, a nonrefundable registration fee of $75.00 is required. The student is then scheduled for her classes.
